Huggies vs. hoops: what's the difference?

Huggie earrings are small hoops that sit snugly around the earlobe – like our 12mm Minimalist Huggie Hoops or the sleek Egg Hoop Earrings. Hoops hang a little lower and make more of a statement, from the textured Twisted Round Hoops to our Oversized Hoop Earrings in 30, 40 and 50mm.

How to build an ear stack

Start with a small huggie in your first piercing, add a textured or patterned hoop next to it and finish with an ear cuff – no extra piercing needed. Mixing gold and silver gives the stack a modern, effortless feel.

Which hoop size should I choose?

For a subtle everyday look, choose a huggie of around 12–14mm. For more impact, go for 30mm and up – our Oversized Hoop Earrings come in 30mm, 40mm and 50mm.

Is this jewelry waterproof?

Yes. All Maison Aglaia jewelry is waterproof, so you can keep it on in the shower, at the pool or at the beach. Rinse it with fresh water after swimming in chlorine or salt water and pat it dry with a soft cloth to keep the shine.

Are your hoop earrings hypoallergenic?

Can I return earrings?

For hygiene reasons earrings can only be returned if they arrive damaged or defective. Other jewelry can be returned unworn within 14 days.
